You will work internally with other staff and supervisors to complete production goals on a daily and weekly basis. Your ability to complete projects within specifications and maintaining quality work is valued with this employer.

1. See the lead saw operator for daily work orders

2. Review W.O. and Router if applicable to ensure that all information is present. This includes a purchase order number, and Ship to address, Grade of Steel, correct dimensions, “ship by” date. If any information is missing, see the Inside Sales staff.

3. Select the proper material to cut for W.O. This includes the correct grade and size. Put the material in the staging area for cutting.

4. Cut Sheets: Write down the measurement of the start piece before it is cut. Cut the mold steel per the work order instructions using saw(s)

5. Put total weight of cut pieces on each sheet of the work order, initial and date.

6. Record the dimensions of all drop pieces on the cut sheet. Record the Heat number of the start pieces and write down the heat number, grade and size of the material on each drop. Put drops back into inventory at the proper location.

7. Do not leave drops or rems in the saw area after the job has been cut.

8. Put drops in the proper area and scrap pieces (as per scrap guidelines in the proper container).

9. Clean saws and work area.

10. Pull preventative maintenance form for saws. Complete the form. *A router is a repeating order for a customer.
